Leah Sewell is a veteran publisher and magazine editor, a poet, journalist and all-around writerly personage. Leah has an MFA in writing from the University of Nebraska, is a published poet and author, a graphic designer, and has a very healthy obsession with books, podcasts, art and from-scratch cooking. Her chapbook, Birth in Storm, was the winner of the Emerge Publications Chapbook Competition. Her full-length collection of poems, Mother-Ghosts, was released in spring 2017 from Washburn University’s Woodley Press. She lives in Topeka, Kansas, where she is a freelancer, a mother to two wily kids and a cocktail waitress who takes no guff from nobody.
